The Arts Alive Award for Established Arts, Culture and/or Heritage Event or Group

The Arts Alive Award for Established Arts, Culture and/or Heritage EventFrans Rood of CVA or Group recognizes an ongoing Halton Hills non-profit event or group that has made a demonstrated impact within our community over the past three years or more.

This year the Award went to Credit Valley Artisans with Frans Rood accepting on behalf of that organization.

Established in 1975 the CVA, as it is now known, consists of four guilds and has gained a reputation for nurturing local artisans, both brand new and more experienced in a collaborative and creative setting.  Its membership draws from both local and neighbouring communities and in 2012 CVA began offering extensive art classes.  The group also hosts two sales per year and contributes to many local events such as Big Daddy Festival.

As a wonderful model of an organization that is both practical and supportive we hope that the CVA will flourish for many years to come.
