Description
I am drawn to the Canadian landscape: transitions in terrain – shorelines, escarpments, portages, or the built environment. My work is based on the experience of being in front of the subject – whether painting on-site, or drawing from the model – each work is a response to that specific time and day.
Marlene Madole is an elected member and Past President of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, and an award-winning artist and instructor for over 17 years. Marlene works primarily in watercolour and drawing, her subjects include: heritage architecture, fruit in the orchard, the Canadian landscape (Locales: British Columbia, Yukon, Georgian Bay, Killarney, French River, and Credit River Valley) and the figure.
Marlene is a graduate of Sheridan College and studied at the Ontario College of Art & Design. Marlene is a founding artist at the Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre, where she has her Studio/Gallery.
