Group recognizes a Halton Hills non-profit event or group established within the past three years which has contributed new vibrancy to our community and has the potential for future growth.
The Award this year, goes to Doors Open and Councillor Moya Johnson accepted on their behalf.
Now in its second year the 2013 Doors Open event focused on giving visitors inside peeks into historical sites in interactive ways This volunteer-based event links to a multi-season provincial heritage campaign and that attracts both local and tourism visitors thus increasing the public's understanding and appreciation of local heritage.
